ECO-WASTE SARL plans to set up an industrial unit for the collection and storage of petroleum and industrial waste from oil vessels and research platforms (including household waste) mainly offshore. This activity is subject to an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) in accordance with the Framework Law on the Environment (Law 2000-045 of 26 July 2000) and its decrees (Decree 2004-045 and No. 2007-105) that require an EIA for any activity that could have adverse effects on the environment.
It is in this context that these Terms of Reference (TdR), the first step in the EIA process for obtaining the environmental feasibility notice for this Project, are set out. Once the RTs have been validated, a public consultation should be held with administrative authorities and local elected officials to take their views in the development of the EIA report for the project. After public consultation, the EIS report is finalized and forwarded to the Ministry of the Environment, which opens a public inquiry for 30 days sanctioned or not by the project feasibility notice.
Our vision
Nature has some of the most complex yet cleanest industrial systems if we analyze it as such. There is a byproduct to everything that we do as humans, from the air we breath to the food we take in which are converted into products for the body to use and then by products of this process are discarded in 3 states, Gas, Liquid and Solid. These byproducts without any human intervention are still used by nature either as manure for plants or food for some animals, insects and fishes. Air, in the form of Carbon dioxide gas produced as a result of respiration, is used by plants to regenerate oxygen. It is also used to balance some chemical processes in nature.
Modern industrialized process as efficient as it maybe, produce waste that needs managing. Eco waste Sarl’s goal is to provide our clients with the best systems and methods for the processing of Industrial Waste available, to the extent of reusing the byproducts termed as waste
